Violence Against Women

There is no excuse for violence against women. But every day, thousands of women are raped, beaten, abused, and even murdered by acquaintances, family members, and people they love.

Women who are abused are not faceless strangers; they are our neighbors, friends, co-workers, and relatives. Women who are abused come from every economic background and every age and stage of life. You may be experiencing abuse yourself, hiding the fact that you're living in an impossible situation because you are too terrified to reach out for help.

No One Deserves It!

If you have been abused, no matter what someone has told you, know this: You did not deserve it. The abuse is not your fault. It’s hard to admit what is happening to you, but acknowledging abuse is the first step towards getting help and getting out of an abusive situation.

Just A Phone Call Away

There are a number of resources in most communities, but if you have nowhere to turn, two national hot lines can quickly connect you with local help and assistance:

National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233)

National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673.

Please do what ever you have to to protect yourself from harm of any kind!

Thank You

Scott
